Rob Roberts the Member of Parliament for Delyn is asking residents to vote for their favourite butcher in his constituency.
The 8th–14th March is National Butchers week. An opportunity to promote local butchers, their produce, and the lengths they go to for their customers. It should also serve as a reminder to us all that we should #shoplocal and support out high street.
Commenting on the competition, Rob said:
“Butchery is an ancient tradition and our butchers often have their knowledge and skills passed down to them through generations of family butchers before them.
“I can think of nothing nicer then heading to a local butcher to hand pick the meat I need, utilising the expert advice of the butcher.
“We must support these important trades if we want them around in 1, 2, 5, and 20 years’ time.
“That’s why I am proud to announce this competition. I want the people of Delyn to tell me who their favourite butcher is. The winning butcher will receive a whole host of goodies and an invite to the next Taste of Delyn event that I will host in Westminster.”
The competition runs from 12th March until Friday 2nd April (5th April for postal votes) and people can vote online at https://www.rjroberts.co.uk/DelynsfavouriteButcher2021, via email or by post. The winner will be announced Friday 16th April.
