Last month, MP for Delyn, Rob Roberts, visited his local Jobcentre Plus in Mold to find out more about the support they offer to constituents - including those looking for work, those who are self-employed and employers looking for staff.
Jobcentre Plus is a vital resource in our communities which can help individuals at every stage during their search for employment. From administering claims for benefits such as Universal Credit, to providing training opportunities for the long term unemployed, Jobcentre Plus has a range of opportunities to help everyone – regardless of a person’s background or past experience.
During Rob’s visit, he was pleased to hear from the local team at Mold that they have coped well with the increased demand for their services during the pandemic, and that they continue to help local people into new jobs quickly.
Over the last year, the UK Government has stepped up to provide a range of employment support schemes to help people into work, which have been welcomed by Jobcentre Plus. This includes the Kickstart Scheme, which aims to support young people who are risk of long term unemployment into new work opportunities.

“I would encourage anyone who is looking for support, whether that be as a jobseeker, as someone who is self-employed or as an employer, to get in touch with their local Jobcentre Plus as they have resource to help everyone.”
