Earlier today members of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee, which includes the Member of Parliament for Delyn had the opportunity to ask Mark Drakeford, the First Minister for Wales questions across a range of topics.
Mr Roberts asked the First Minister about:
- What the costs will be to the taxpayer of the planned publicly owned renewable energy company, and what will the "significant" benefits be that was outlined by Julie James MS?
- Whether he is hoping that by not running a separate COVID inquiry in Wales, the media will focus solely on the UK inquiry findings therefore the Welsh Government avoids any scrutiny?
- If the measures announced in the Autumn statement will significantly improve how the Welsh Government allocates funds to Local Authorities?
- If he feels the formula that Welsh Government uses to distribute funds to Local Authorities in Wales is still fair, considering that some of the councils receiving the highest amounts of money from them consistently have large amounts of funds in their reserves?
