As part of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee Mr Roberts asked Guto Harri, Journalist and former Director of Communications under Former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson about broadcasting in Wales.
Mr Harri was giving evidence to the committee when Mr Roberts asked him about:
- The role of public service broadcasting in Wales.
- Funding of public service broadcasting in Wales.
- His views on the previous Government's plans to privatise Channel 4.
- Whether he thought journalism in Wales is too partial to certain political parties.
Commenting on the discussion, Rob said:
"It was a very interesting session with Guto, he is a very experienced journalist and communications director.
"I thought his views on the press in Wales particularly interesting. There is a place for strong, robust, and independent press which holds government accountable for its decisions and policies.
"There is a stark difference between how the media reports on UK Government policies and how the Welsh press report on the Welsh Government.
